BIGFOOT DISCOVERY IN GEORGIA A FAKE;NEVER LEFT MOUNTAINS WEST OF REDDING!
REDDING LIFESTYLES, REDDING RECREATION, SHASTA COUNTY
August 20th, 2008
As it turns out, the two men that purportedly found a corpse of Bigfoot, Mat Whitton and Rick Dyer, in the northern Georgia woods have been unmasked as frauds. Independent analysis of the frozen “corpse” determined it was nothing more than an old gorilla suit! I was worried our nearby resident of Trinity County, Bigfoot, had somehow hopped a rail to the deep south.
Last summer my wife and I camped in the Trinity Alps, aka Bigfoot Country, in a lovely campground near the headwaters of the Salmon River. We headed out on a day hike toward Preacher Peak via the Yellow Rose Mine. On the steady uphill descent, we paused for a breath of fresh mountain air, absorbing the stunning views of the jagged Alps and the lush valley below Josephine Lake. Suddenly, just below the trail 75′ feet or so, I saw the bushes move. I asked my wife to stand still as my eyes scanned the area below for the cause of the rustling in the bushes.
The beast reared up on it’s hind legs and stuck it’s nose in the air sniffing the slight breeze. We could see it, but apparently it could not see us. I was not in a panic, and asked my wife to remain calm. Since I didn’t have a camera handy, I missed getting a picture of the bruin. Sorry folks, no Bigfoot sighting on this outing! However, upon our return to civilization, my wife found a story on the Internet about a Bigfoot sighting at the Yellow Rose Mine. Nearly 30 years ago, some hunters claim they heard and saw the legendary Bigfoot. Click here to read their story. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=7773
I don’t know if I will ever convince my wife to camp at Big Flat again. Regardless of your beliefs about the existence of Bigfoot or not, I can highly recommend this area as a great place to camp and hike. Several trails lead in all directions from the primitive campground to various points in the Trinity Alps. It’s also a great starting point for backpackers and horse packers to strike out to the heart of the Trinity Alps, a much more likely spot to glimpse Bigfoot!

it was all in good fun, though, right? that last pic is classic
But how could anyone have ever doubted those guys? They just radiated trust. I’m sure the Bigfoot species really has rubbery skin.
Finally a someone with a sense of humor and a brain, interesting.. My family, “parents” travel quite a bit and are looking to invest in some real estate in the Redding area. What luck to stumble upon a intelligent, knowledgeable agent. Be sure I will be sending them and anyone else who can benefit from your service when they are in the north state. Speaking of relatives that pic of Big Foot looks strangely similar to Aunt Bev prior to her monthly waxing.
The way you write make it truly simple to read. And the template you use, wow. This is a really good combination. And I am wondering what is the name of the theme you use?
